twittories

I have struggled with twitter. Maybe I just don't have time for engaging in intellectual doodling or the need for ambient intimacy, but I do like the way these new social apps push the boundaries of what is possible in web 2.0. For example - there is an interesting experiment going on using organic conversations based on twitter, called "twittories". These are short stories written by 140 people using 140 words each. For example - see The Darkness Inside started today. This creative mashup is unlikely to win a Booker prize but lets see where it goes...

Does it have to win a prize to be a valid form of entertainment?

Not at all Cameron - but if there were a prize for clever new forms of entertainment it might win that. Clearly twittories are not about cohesive literary genius but about experimental creative collaboration - and fun!
