hybrid saas - the third generation
Interesting to note the evolution of Saas. We all saw the ASP model evolve into pure built-for-the-web Saas apps. The interesting thing was how these first services targetted the consumer and SME markets - probably for the leveraged volume. Some of us in the enterprise market, however, have always had to include a significant degree of professional services provision implementation. Good to know then that this is in fact a feature of Saas 3.0 - the newest model that hybridises Saas delivery and tailored setup.
