why the cylons will win

The web is our greatest machine. It facilitates social engagement at a phenomenal scale. It is now so efficient and representative as to be reflective of our developed humanity. Good and and bad. The dark underside - where people use web tools to engineer evil acts on each other - is why the Cylons will win.  Sadly - I don't see this changing with the future web. If it is only about rank and recommendation then maybe the good of our community might act to expose and exclude the bad, but I see it being fundamentally about easier ways for us to create a shared consciousness: to collectively create, experience and judge our world. And this will include good and bad because they are hardwired into us as humans . That choice is the flaw that defines us.
